Chief Judge Releases 13 Prison Inmates in Plateau

The Chief Judge of Plateau State Justice Yakubu Gyang Dakwak has released 13 inmates of Jos Prison.

The release was done during his second round of jail delivery in this year, which lasted between 6th and 8th of August 2018.

The Chief Judge expressed satisfaction with the improved jail condition in Prison facilities visited and commended the prison authority for displaying high level of professionalism in the execution of her mandate.

He further extolled the components of the Criminal Justice System in the State for a laudable performance, evident in the higher ratio of convicted inmates as against the awaiting trial persons.

This achievement he said has been verified by the United Nations and remains exceptional when placed on a table with other States in Nigeria.

Eleven (11) inmates were also granted bail during the visit.
