Popular Fuji musician, Wasiu Alabi Odetola better known as Pasuma is a year older today, November 27th, 2015. And to celebrate, the music star released some striking new photos cladded in suit and in colourful Agbada.
The veteran singer who turned 51 today said, “I’m thankful for the people in my life, that made the last year a wonderful one. It’s another year again. So let’s do it again.”
He also posted a photo of himself with the caption, “Ya Allah, Thank u for another year and all the experiences that u gave me this past year..Thank u for givin’ me all d success & achievements dat will always be happy memories for me..Thank u for givin’ me all the happiness that gave me time to celebrate..Thank u for givin’ me all the sadness that reminded me of my own weaknesses & made me realized that I really need u to be my guide & light in my life..Alhamdulillah for every blessing Allah has given me. LLnP to me.”
Wasiu Alabi Pasuma, also known as “Oganla”, is a Nigerian film actor and Fuji musician. Pasuma was born on 27 November 1967 at Mushin in Lagos State and was brought up in Kwara State, western Nigeria.
Pasuma’s debut album “Recognition” was released in 1993. He has collaborated with several recording artists, such as Bola Abimbola and King Sunny Ade and has featured in Nigerian films such as Iyanje and Alenibare.
On Sept 6, 2015, Pasuma beat the likes of Olamide, Phyno, Flavor to emerge the winner of Best Indigenous Aertist of the year at the Nigeria Entertainment Awards.
He was nominated for the Best featured Non-islamic Artiste in Islamic album in 2016 alongside Saheed Osupa, Sule Alao Malaika, Shefiu Alao, Taye Currency, Muri Thunder. Alhaji Wasiu Alabi Pasuma has recorded and released over 30 Fuji Music Albums. His first album was recorded in 1993.
